The Light Design in EDM Masterclass is an intensive three-day training program designed for lighting professionals, programmers, and aspiring show designers who want to master advanced lighting workflows for electronic dance music productions. Hosted at the Light Studio of Lab of Tomorrow, this hands-on masterclass provides participants with practical experience in designing, programming, and operating dynamic EDM lighting shows using the grandMA3 platform.

Led by renowned lighting designer Kristof Blancquaert and supported by a selection of guest speakers from the live entertainment industry, participants will explore professional programming techniques, creative workflow strategies, and real-world touring practices used in today's live music industry.

Through a combination of theory, demonstrations, and practical exercises, attendees will gain the skills needed to create impactful lighting experiences for festivals, concerts, and touring productions.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of live event production, lighting technology, or stage production is recommended.

Prior experience with lighting consoles is beneficial but not mandatory.

Familiarity with DMX, fixtures, and fundamental lighting concepts will help participants get the most from the course.

Participants should have a strong interest in live music production and show programming.

An eagerness to learn both creative and technical aspects of professional lighting design is essential.
